Strategy:
Keep Pete slagged all the time.
Run around jumping to dodge attacks.
Use water to 'wash off' status effect(s).
The Bee shield makes killin' him easier.
Finish him as fast as possible before higher level spiderants spawn.
Yes, no rats - only use the sewer pipe that spawns spiderants, simply because they are much easier to deal with (imagine a bunch of level 66 rats shooting at you...).

Siren build:
Scorn for slag.
Converge for crowd control.
Wreck, together with suspension, for maximal damage output (aim for his head bro).
