I played so much Warcraft 3 back in the day but never played WC2! It's time to take a step back and see where Warcraft really started to get good (I didn't like Warcraft 1). Check out this Warcraft 2 gameplay and if you want to playthrough the game yourself you can follow the links below!

#AbandonwareAdventures is a format where I find a good old game that is no longer for sale and play some of it. These are often PC games from my childhood that have been abandoned and I think need to be looked at again.

You should buy the GOG version, but here were the original instructions to play #Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness
1. Get the game from Archive.org
https://archive.org/details/msdos_Warcraft_II_-_Tides_of_Darkness_1995

2. Follow these instructions to 'install' the game in DOSBox:
- Mount .ISO-file (.BIN can be mounted also)
- Copy .ISO contents to c:\wc2
- Open DOSBox and in DOSBox write "mount c c:\wc2" without the ""
- In DOSBox write "mount d p:\ -t cdrom (where p is your mounted virtual drive letter)
- In DOSBox write c:
- in DOSBox write setup (do not close DOSBox, leave it open)
- Install the game to c:\WAR2
- In Windows go to c:\wc2\WAR2 and edit the file war2.ini
- In editor edit the first row and change the cdpath from C to D
- Go to DOSBox and write war2

'#Abandonware' is not a legal term but I always try to source games from Archive.org, a website that is a recognised public library and has a DMCA exception.
