Doing a quick comparison between Flight Simulator 2020 Sim Update 4 and the newly released Sim Update 5 which has promised to bring much needed performance improvements.

There are definite FPS improvements on the graphics side, I'm seeing around 20fps increase, but the limited by MainThread issue is still present, this was supposed to be eased by spreading the CPU intensive jobs across multiple cores, but that doesn't seem to be the case (at least not for me)

Maybe this is a bug in the first launch that Asobo will iron out? Let's hope so!
