In which we lose the war for every side we choose... I should've known number 13 would be unlucky.

Aces Over Europe is a great combat flight simulator from 1993 by Dynamix, and lets you fly a variety of combat aircraft from WWII through all kinds of missions and campaigns. It's got a great flight model, and all the planes are realistically portrayed. You can even fly some two-seat planes. Definitely a nice gem from the middle days of DOS, lots of fun.
