When you build your very first shiny island base in Evil Genius, it’s tempting to get carried away with extensions and walk-in freezers. But don’t get too cosy. About midway through the game, you’ll have to up sticks and move to another island and if you’re not careful, that move could bankrupt you.

So since there’s no way to mortgage a volcano base, you’d better build that first island right. Here are our tips on how to prepare for the move and avoid making the same mistakes we did.
