Curse of the Dead Gods is one Rogue-lite Dungeon Crawler that really works hard to set the curve for Indie Games in the same Genre. Crisp, clear graphics, solid combat systems, perks, skills, curses, bosses!? What's not to love!? Seriously, after dumping hours into this game, the only feedback I really had was that there really was no story (player motivation) to keep a gamer locked in to keep coming back for more, that is other than the shear challenge and lust for more combat. On that note though, the challenge may pale a bit in comparison to other recent Rogues like Dead Cells or the famed Hades... However, if you aren't a gamer who is at the top of the rankings for crushing difficulty, Curse of the Dead Gods' slightly decreased level of challenge may be exactly what you need to dip your toes in the Rogue-like and Rogue-lite genres.
