This single-player roguelike card game, from the creator of Sunless Sea, tells a long story about setting up a cult, recruiting followers and researching Lovecraftian mysteries. But a lot of the game is about figuring out how it actually works. In this let's play Cultist Simulator gameplay video, we have the early game down pat, but inch further and further into mystery!

Cultist Simulator gameplay is based entirely on the cards forming a long-form narrative - put cards to work as you see fit, earn new money, passion and reason cards, experience events and battle despair. Experiment with card combinations and discover how to found a cult as you become obsessed with the secrets of a mysterious house. And don't lose the game to despair or murder!

In let's play Cultist Simulator gameplay ep 1, we see how to start off earning a living using the cards you're dealt, and we see how to unlock new "verbs" where you can assign cards that, over time, produce either a set result or a random one. Maybe you'll get new cards or trigger an event!
